Future Leaders Charitable Trust (FLCT) is an organisation committed to developing the next generation of headteachers for challenging urban secondary schools - people who will make a lasting difference to the lives of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. With a third of the heads  of schools in the UK set to retire within the next 2 years, we are working fast; we have grown rapidly in our first 3 years with an income now over £5 million.

FLCT runs an accelerated leadership programme called Future Leaders designed to produce    high quality leaders (“Participants”) for urban complex secondary schools. It is currently based in London, North West England and the West Midlands and in the process of expanding to Yorkshire and the Humber. The programme recruits talented individuals who are committed to the Future Leaders’ mission – to foster high levels of academic achievement for every young person.

FLCT also now recruits for Tomorrow’s Heads, a programme which is primarily aimed at the primary sector.

FLCT provides a highly motivating, professional environment in which to work. We obtain a good deal of support from our parent company, ARK (see www.ARKOnline.org ), a high-profile not-for-profit organisation with whose 100 or so employees we share modern offices in central London.

We offer 28 days leave per year (plus bank holidays and 2 extra days at Christmas) and a Flexible Working Policy to allow for homeworking etc. We are a learning organisation and will encourage  you to take up training, learning and development and career progression opportunities. We are an Equal Opportunities employer.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles. Please contact Kay Carey for more information on the above roles on kay.carey@future-leaders.org.uk.

  • Selection Manager (London based) >>
  • Bristol and South Coast Officer and Communications Officer (Birmingham based) >>
  • Midlands Officer and Participant Development Officer (Birmingham based) >>
